⁵ Now then, ^(A)if you will indeed obey My voice and ^(B)keep My covenant, then you shall be ^(C)My ^[a]own possession among all the peoples, for ^(D)all the earth is Mine; ⁶ and you shall be to Me ^(E)a kingdom of priests and ^(F)a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.”

⁹ But you are ^(A)a chosen people, a royal ^(B)priesthood, a ^(C)holy nation, ^(D)a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you ^(E)out of darkness into His marvelous light;

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, ^(A)the faithful witness, the ^(B)firstborn of the dead, and the ^(C)ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who ^(D)loves us and released us from our sins by His blood— ⁶ and He made us into a ^(E)kingdom, ^(F)priests to ^[a](G)His God and Father—^(H)to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever.
