¹⁶ As for you, lift up ^(A)your staff and reach out with your hand over the sea and divide it, and the sons of Israel shall ^[a]go through the midst of the sea on dry land.

²² So ^(A)the sons of Israel ^[a]went through the midst of the sea on the dry land, and ^(B)the waters were like a wall to them on their right and on their left.

²⁷ So Moses reached out with his hand over the sea, and ^(A)the sea returned to its normal state at daybreak, while the Egyptians were fleeing ^[a]right into it; then the Lord ^[b](B)overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.

²⁹ But the sons of Israel walked on ^(A)dry land through the midst of the sea, and the waters were like a wall to them on their right and on their left.
