2 Toate faptele privitoare la puterea şi isprăvile lui şi amănuntele despre mărimea la care(A) a ridicat împăratul pe Mardoheu nu sunt scrise în Cartea Cronicilor împăraţilor mezilor şi perşilor? 3 Căci iudeul Mardoheu era cel dintâi(B) după împăratul Ahaşveroş. El era cu vază între iudei şi iubit de mulţimea fraţilor săi, căci a căutat(C) binele poporului său şi a vorbit pentru fericirea întregului său neam.

2 And all his acts of power and might, together with a full account of the greatness of Mordecai,(A) whom the king had promoted,(B) are they not written in the book of the annals(C) of the kings of Media and Persia? 3 Mordecai the Jew was second(D) in rank(E) to King Xerxes,(F) preeminent among the Jews, and held in high esteem by his many fellow Jews, because he worked for the good of his people and spoke up for the welfare of all the Jews.(G)
