14 Stand,(A) therefore,

with truth(B) like a belt around your waist,
righteousness(C) like armor on your chest,(D)
15 and your feet sandaled with readiness
for the gospel of peace.[a]
16 In every situation take the shield(E) of faith,(F)
and with it you will be able to extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one.(G)
17 Take the helmet(H) of salvation,
and the sword(I) of the Spirit,(J)
which is God’s word.

18 Pray(K) at all times in the Spirit(L) with every prayer and request, and stay alert(M) in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.
