¹⁷ Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what ^(A)the will of the Lord is. ¹⁸ And ^(B)do not get drunk with wine, for that is ^(C)debauchery, but ^(D)be filled with the Spirit, ¹⁹ addressing one another in ^(E)psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart,

¹⁶ Let ^(A)the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, ^(B)singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, ^(C)with thankfulness in your hearts to God. ¹⁷ And ^(D)whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, ^(E)giving thanks to God the Father through him.
