Ephesians 1:13-17

¹³In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

¹⁴Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

¹⁵Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

¹⁶Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

¹⁷That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Ephesians 1:13-17

¹³And you also were included in Christ^(A) when you heard the message of truth,^(B) the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal,^(C) the promised Holy Spirit,^(D) ¹⁴who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance^(E) until the redemption^(F) of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.^(G)

Thanksgiving and Prayer

¹⁵For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus^(H) and your love for all God’s people,^(I) ¹⁶I have not stopped giving thanks for you,^(J) remembering you in my prayers.^(K) ¹⁷I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father,^(L) may give you the Spirit^[a] of wisdom^(M) and revelation, so that you may know him better.
