¹⁵ So I commended pleasure, for there is nothing good for ^(A)a person under the sun except to eat, drink, and be joyful, and this will stand by him in his labor throughout the days of his life which God has given him under the sun.

²⁶ I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my ^(A)countrymen, dangers from the ^(B)Gentiles, dangers in the ^(C)city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers at sea, dangers among ^(D)false brothers; ²⁷ I have been in ^(E)labor and hardship, through many sleepless nights, in ^(F)hunger and thirst, often ^(G)without food, in cold and ^[a](H)exposure. ²⁸ Apart from such ^[b]external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for ^(I)all the churches. ²⁹ Who is ^(J)weak without my being weak? Who is ^[c]led into sin ^[d]without my intense concern?

³⁰ If I have to boast, I will boast of what pertains to my ^(K)weakness. ³¹ The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, ^(L)He who is blessed forever, ^(M)knows that I am not lying.

¹⁹ For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents and have heads, and with them they do harm.

²⁰ The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, ^(A)did not repent of ^(B)the works of their hands so as not to ^(C)worship demons and ^(D)the idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk;
