³So He humbled you, ^(A)allowed you to hunger, and ^(B)fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall ^(C)not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.

⁷^(A)The law of the Lord is perfect, ^[a]converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making ^(B)wise the simple;
⁸The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
⁹The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
¹⁰More to be desired are they than ^(C)gold,
Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the ^[b]honeycomb.
¹¹Moreover by them Your servant is warned,
And in keeping them there is great reward.
