Deuteronomy 5:5-9

5 while (A)I was standing between the Lord and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the Lord; (B)for you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up on the mountain. [a]He said,
6 ‘(C)I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of [b]slavery.
7 ‘(D)You shall have no other gods besides Me.
8 ‘(E)You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any [c]likeness of what is in heaven above [d]or on the earth beneath [e]or in the water under the earth. 9 You shall not worship them nor serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, (F)inflicting the [f]punishment of the fathers on the children, [g]even on the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
