Deuteronomy 24:17

New International Version

¹⁷Do not deprive the foreigner or the fatherless^(A) of justice,^(B) or take the cloak of the widow as a pledge.

¹⁷Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow's raiment to pledge:

¹⁷if I have kept my bread to myself,
not sharing it with the fatherless^(A)—

¹⁷Or have eaten my morsel myself alone, and the fatherless hath not eaten thereof;

²¹if I have raised my hand against the fatherless,^(A)
knowing that I had influence in court,^(B)

²¹If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate:
