12 Now if he is an afflicted man, you shall not sleep with his deposit. 13 (A)When the sun goes down you shall surely return the deposit to him, that he may sleep in his cloak and bless you; and (B)it will be righteousness for you before Yahweh your God.

14 (C)You shall not oppress a hired person who is afflicted and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of your sojourners who is in your land within your gates.

12 If the neighbor is poor, do not go to sleep with their pledge(A) in your possession. 13 Return their cloak by sunset(B) so that your neighbor may sleep in it.(C) Then they will thank you, and it will be regarded as a righteous act in the sight of the Lord your God.(D)

14 Do not take advantage of a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether that worker is a fellow Israelite or a foreigner residing in one of your towns.(E)
