Deuteronomy 1:30-33

30 The Lord your God, who goes before you, will (A)Himself fight for you, [a]just as He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, 31 and in the wilderness where you saw how (B)the Lord your God carried you, just as a man carries his son, on all of the road which you have walked until you came to this place.’ 32 Yet [b](C)in spite of all this, you did not trust the Lord your God, 33 (D)who goes before you on your way, (E)to seek out a place for you to make camp, in the fire by night to show you the way by which you should go, and in the cloud by day.

New International Version
30 The Lord your God, who is going before you, will fight(A) for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes, 31 and in the wilderness. There you saw how the Lord your God carried(B) you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.”(C)
32 In spite of this,(D) you did not trust(E) in the Lord your God, 33 who went ahead of you on your journey, in fire by night and in a cloud by day,(F) to search(G) out places for you to camp and to show you the way you should go.
