14 You answered me, ‘The plan you have proposed is a good one.’ 15 So I took the leaders of your tribes, wise and reputable individuals, and installed them as leaders over you, commanders of thousands, commanders of hundreds, commanders of fifties, commanders of tens, and officials, throughout your tribes.(A) 16 I charged your judges at that time: ‘Give the members of your community a fair hearing and judge rightly between one person and another, whether kin or resident alien.(B)

14 You answered me, “What you propose to do is good.”
15 So I took(A) the leading men of your tribes,(B) wise and respected men,(C) and appointed them to have authority over you—as commanders(D) of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties and of tens and as tribal officials.(E) 16 And I charged your judges at that time, “Hear the disputes between your people and judge(F) fairly,(G) whether the case is between two Israelites or between an Israelite and a foreigner residing among you.(H)
