Daniel 9:6-8

6 We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our ancestors[a] and to all the people of the land.
7 “Righteousness belongs to you, O Lord,[b] and on us is open shame, just as it is this day to the people of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to all Israel, those who are near and those who are far off[c] in all the lands to which you have driven them,[d] because of their infidelity which they displayed against you. 8 Yahweh, on us is open shame, on our kings, on our princes, and on our ancestors,[e] because we have sinned against you.

7 “Lord, you are righteous,(D) but this day we are covered with shame(E)—the people of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, both near and far, in all the countries where you have scattered(F) us because of our unfaithfulness(G) to you.(H) 8 We and our kings, our princes and our ancestors are covered with shame, Lord, because we have sinned against you.(I)
