13 (A)The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me (B)twenty-one days, but (C)Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia, 14 (D)and came to make you understand what is to happen to your people (E)in the latter days. For (F)the vision is for days yet to come.”

15 When he had spoken to me according to these words, (G)I turned my face toward the ground (H)and was mute. 16 And behold, (I)one in the likeness of the children of man (J)touched my lips. Then I opened my mouth and spoke. I said to him who stood before me, “O my lord, by reason of the vision pains have come upon me, and (K)I retain no strength. 17 How can my lord's servant talk with my lord? For now no strength remains in me, and no breath is left in me.”

18 Again (L)one having the appearance of a man (M)touched me and strengthened me. 19 And he said, (N)“O man greatly loved, (O)fear not, peace be with you; be strong and of good courage.” And as he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.” 20 Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? But now I will return to fight against the (P)prince of Persia; and when I go out, behold, the prince of (Q)Greece will come. 21 But I will tell you (R)what is inscribed in the book of truth: there is none who contends by my side against these except (S)Michael, your prince.

13 But the prince(A) of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael,(B) one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia. 14 Now I have come to explain(C) to you what will happen to your people in the future,(D) for the vision concerns a time yet to come.(E)

My strength is gone and I can hardly breathe.”(I)

18 Again the one who looked like a man touched(J) me and gave me strength.(K) 19 “Do not be afraid, you who are highly esteemed,”(L) he said. “Peace!(M) Be strong now; be strong.”(N)

When he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Speak, my lord, since you have given me strength.”(O)

20 So he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? Soon I will return to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I go, the prince of Greece(P) will come; 21 but first I will tell you what is written in the Book of Truth.(Q) (No one supports me against them except Michael,(R) your prince.
