Colossians 3:4-4:1

⁴ When Christ, ^(A)who is our life, is revealed, ^(B)then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

^5 (C)Therefore, ^[a]treat ^(D)the parts of your earthly body as dead to ^(E)sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which ^[b]amounts to idolatry. ⁶ For it is because of these things that ^(F)the wrath of God is coming ^[c]upon the ^[d]sons of disobedience, ⁷ and ^(G)in them you also once walked, when you were living ^[e]in them. ⁸ But now you also, ^(H)rid yourselves of all of them: ^(I)anger, wrath, malice, slander, and ^(J)obscene speech from your mouth. ^9 [f](K)Do not lie to one another, since you ^(L)stripped off the old ^[g]self with its evil practices, ¹⁰ and have ^(M)put on the new self, which is being ^[h](N)renewed to a true knowledge ^(O)according to the image of the One who ^(P)created it— ¹¹ a renewal in which ^(Q)there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, ^(R)circumcised and uncircumcised, ^[i](S)barbarian, ^[j]Scythian, ^(T)slave, and free, but ^(U)Christ is all, and in all.

¹² So, as those who have been ^(V)chosen of God, holy and beloved, ^(W)put on a ^(X)heart of compassion, kindness, ^(Y)humility, gentleness, and ^[k](Z)patience; ^13 (AA)bearing with one another, and ^(AB)forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; ^(AC)just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also. ¹⁴ In addition to all these things put on love, which is ^[l](AD)the perfect bond of ^(AE)unity. ¹⁵ Let ^(AF)the peace of Christ, to which you were ^[m]indeed called in ^(AG)one body, ^[n]rule in your hearts; and ^[o]be thankful. ¹⁶ Let ^(AH)the word of ^[p]Christ richly dwell within you, ^[q]with all wisdom ^(AI)teaching and admonishing ^[r]one another ^(AJ)with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, ^(AK)singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. ^17 (AL)Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, ^(AM)giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

Family Relations

^18 (AN)Wives, ^(AO)be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. ^19 (AP)Husbands, love your wives and do not become bitter against them. ^20 (AQ)Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing ^[s]to the Lord. ^21 (AR)Fathers, do not ^[t]antagonize your children, so that they will not become discouraged.

^22 [u](AS)Slaves, obey those who are your ^[v]human masters in everything, ^(AT)not with ^[w]eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. ²³ Whatever you do, do your work ^[x]heartily, ^(AU)as for the Lord and not for people, ^24 (AV)knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the reward ^[y]of ^(AW)the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you ^(AX)serve. ²⁵ For ^(AY)the one who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and ^[z](AZ)that without partiality.

4 Masters, grant your slaves justice and fairness, ^(BA)knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.
