Colossians 2:20-23
New International Version
20 Since you died with Christ(A) to the elemental spiritual forces of this world,(B) why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules:(C) 21 “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”? 22 These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish(D) with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings.(E) 23 Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility(F) and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.
Matthew 6:5-6
New International Version
Prayer(A)
5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing(B) in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father,(C) who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Matthew 15:7-9
New International Version
7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:

Matthew 23:27-28
New International Version
27 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! Luke 18:10-14
New International Version
10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray,(A) one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself(B) and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast(C) twice a week and give a tenth(D) of all I get.’
13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast(E) and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’(F)
14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”(G)
John 4:21-23
New International Version
21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming(A) when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.(B) 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know;(C) we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.(D) 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come(E) when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit(F) and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
