^24 (A)God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is ^(B)Lord of heaven and earth, ^(C)does not dwell in temples made with hands. ²⁵ Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He ^(D)gives to all life, breath, and all things. ²⁶ And He has made from one ^[a]blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and ^(E)the boundaries of their dwellings, ^27 (F)so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, ^(G)though He is not far from each one of us; ²⁸ for ^(H)in Him we live and move and have our being, ^(I)as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’

God’s Supreme Revelation^(A)

1 God, who ^[a]at various times and ^(B)in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, ² has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the ^[b]worlds; ^3 (C)who being the brightness of His glory and the express ^(D)image of His person, and ^(E)upholding all things by the word of His power, ^(F)when He had ^[c]by Himself ^[d]purged ^[e]our sins, ^(G)sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

⁹ But we see Jesus, ^(A)who was made ^[a]a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death ^(B)crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death ^(C)for everyone.

Bringing Many Sons to Glory

¹⁰ For it was fitting for Him, ^(D)for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation ^(E)perfect through sufferings. ¹¹ For ^(F)both He who ^[b]sanctifies and those who are being sanctified ^(G)are all of one, for which reason ^(H)He is not ashamed to call them brethren, ¹² saying:

¹⁴ Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He ^(L)Himself likewise shared in the same, ^(M)that through death He might destroy him who had the power of ^(N)death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and release those who ^(O)through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. ¹⁶ For indeed He does not ^[c]give aid to angels, but He does ^[d]give aid to the seed of Abraham. ¹⁷ Therefore, in all things He had ^(P)to be made like His brethren, that He might be ^(Q)a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. ^18 (R)For in that He Himself has suffered, being ^[e]tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.
