³⁴ Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism^(A)

³⁵ but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.^(A)

¹⁷ For the Lord your God is God of gods^(A) and Lord of lords,^(B) the great God, mighty and awesome,^(C) who shows no partiality^(D) and accepts no bribes.^(E)

²³ Yet a time is coming and has now come^(A) when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit^(B) and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

¹¹ For God does not show favoritism.^(A)

¹¹ My brothers and sisters, some from Chloe’s household^(A) have informed me that there are quarrels among you. ¹² What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”;^(B) another, “I follow Apollos”;^(C) another, “I follow Cephas^[a]”;^(D) still another, “I follow Christ.”

¹³ Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul?^(E)

¹¹ Here there is no Gentile or Jew,^(A) circumcised or uncircumcised,^(B) barbarian, Scythian, slave or free,^(C) but Christ is all,^(D) and is in all.

⁹ But if you show favoritism,^(A) you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.^(B)
