Peter Raises Tabitha to Life

³⁶ Now in ^(A)Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which translated is called ^[a]Dorcas). This woman was full of good works and charity which she continually did.

¹⁸ Command them to do good, to be rich in ^(A)good ^[a]works, ^(B)to be generous and ready to share,

⁷ in all things show yourself to be ^(A)a model of good works, with ^[a]purity in doctrine, dignified,

^8 (A)This is a trustworthy saying. And concerning these things I ^(B)want you to speak confidently, so that those who have ^(C)believed God will be intent to ^(D)lead in good works. These things are good and profitable for men.

^12 (A)by keeping your conduct excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing which they ^(B)slander you as evildoers, they may ^[a]because of your good works, as they observe them, ^(C)glorify God ^(D)in the day of ^[b]visitation.
