Acts 2:6-13

⁶ And when ^(A)this sound occurred, the crowd came together and they were bewildered, because each one of them was hearing them speak in his own ^[a]language. ^7 (B)They were amazed and astonished, saying, “^[b]Why, are not all these who are speaking ^(C)Galileans? ⁸ And how is it that we each hear them in our own ^[c]language ^[d]to which we were born? ⁹ Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea, and ^(D)Cappadocia, ^(E)Pontus and ^[e](F)Asia, ^10 (G)Phrygia and ^(H)Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya around ^(I)Cyrene, and ^[f](J)visitors from Rome, both Jews and ^[g](K)proselytes, ¹¹ Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own ^[h]tongues of the mighty deeds of God.” ¹² And ^(L)they all continued in amazement and great perplexity, saying to one another, “What does this mean?” ¹³ But others were jeering and saying, “^(M)They are full of ^[i]sweet wine!”
