³⁸ And Peter said to them, ^(A)“Repent and ^(B)be baptized every one of you ^(C)in the name of Jesus Christ ^(D)for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive ^(E)the gift of the Holy Spirit. ³⁹ For ^(F)the promise is for you and ^(G)for your children and for all ^(H)who are far off, everyone ^(I)whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”

⁴¹ So those who received his word were baptized, and ^(A)there were added that day about three thousand souls.

¹² But when ^(A)they believed Philip as he preached good news ^(B)about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, ^(C)they were baptized, both men and women. ¹³ Even Simon himself believed, and after being baptized he continued with Philip. And ^(D)seeing signs and ^(E)great miracles^[a] performed, ^(F)he was amazed.

³⁶ And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “See, here is water! ^(A)What prevents me from being baptized?”^{[a] 38} And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him. ³⁹ And when they came up out of the water, ^(B)the Spirit of the Lord ^(C)carried Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, and went on his way rejoicing.

¹⁷ So ^(A)Ananias departed and entered the house. And ^(B)laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and ^(C)be filled with the Holy Spirit.” ¹⁸ And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and ^(D)he regained his sight. Then ^(E)he rose and was baptized;

^47 (A)“Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit ^(B)just as we have?” ⁴⁸ And he ^(C)commanded them ^(D)to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to remain for some days.

¹⁴ One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple goods, ^(A)who was a worshiper of God. The Lord ^(B)opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul. ¹⁵ And after she was baptized, ^(C)and her household as well, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” And she ^(D)prevailed upon us.

³² And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. ³³ And he took them ^(A)the same hour of the night and washed their wounds; and he ^(B)was baptized at once, he and all his family.

^8 (A)Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, together ^(B)with his entire household. And many of the Corinthians hearing Paul believed and were baptized.
