⁶ When they resisted and blasphemed,^(A) he shook out his clothes^(B) and told them, “Your blood is on your own heads!^(C) I am innocent.^[a] From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”^(D)

¹⁶ by keeping us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. As a result, they are constantly filling up their sins to the limit,^(A) and wrath has overtaken them at last.^[a]

⁴ They are surprised that you don’t join them in the same flood of wild living—and they slander^[a] you.

¹⁰ But these people blaspheme anything they do not understand. And what they do understand by instinct—like irrational animals—by these things they are destroyed.
