3 and being of the same occupation, stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers[a] by trade.(A) 4 He reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath and tried to persuade both Jews and Greeks.(B)
5 When Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with preaching the message[b] and solemnly testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Messiah.(C)

New International Version
3 and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them.(A) 4 Every Sabbath(B) he reasoned in the synagogue,(C) trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.
5 When Silas(D) and Timothy(E) came from Macedonia,(F) Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah.(G)
