The Mission to Cyprus
4 Being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they came down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus. 5 Arriving in Salamis, they proclaimed God’s message in the Jewish synagogues. They also had John as their assistant.(A) 6 When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they came across a sorcerer, a Jewish false prophet named Bar-Jesus.(B)

4 The two of them, sent on their way by the Holy Spirit,(A) went down to Seleucia and sailed from there to Cyprus.(B) 5 When they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God(C) in the Jewish synagogues.(D) John(E) was with them as their helper.
6 They traveled through the whole island until they came to Paphos. There they met a Jewish sorcerer(F) and false prophet(G) named Bar-Jesus,
