³⁷ if they ^[a]take it to heart in the land where they are taken captive, and repent and plead to You in the land of their captivity, saying, ‘We have sinned, we have done wrong and have acted wickedly’;

8 Who is like the wise person and who knows the meaning of a matter? A person’s wisdom ^(A)illuminates his face and makes his ^(B)stern face ^[a]brighten up.

^4 (A)Do not trust in deceptive words, saying, ‘^[a]This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.’ ⁵ For ^(B)if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly ^(C)practice justice between a person and his neighbor, ⁶ if you do not oppress the stranger, the ^[b](D)orphan, or the widow, and do not shed ^(E)innocent blood in this place, nor ^(F)follow other gods to your own ruin,

²⁹ And while He was ^(A)praying, the appearance of His face ^(B)became different, and His clothing became white and ^[a]gleaming.

⁵¹ Behold, I am telling you a ^[a](A)mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be ^(B)changed, ⁵² in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for ^(C)the trumpet will sound, and ^(D)the dead will be raised ^[b]imperishable, and ^(E)we will be changed.
