He said,

(A)The Lord is my [a]rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
[b](B)My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,
My (C)shield and (D)the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and (E)my refuge;
My savior, You save me from violence.
I call upon the Lord, (F)who is worthy to be praised,
And I am saved from my enemies.
For (G)the waves of death encompassed me;
(H)The floods of [c]destruction terrified me;
(I)The ropes of [d]Sheol surrounded me;
The snares of death confronted me.
(J)In my distress I called upon the Lord,
Yes, I called out to my God;
And from His temple He heard my voice,
And my cry for help came into His ears.
