And then (A)the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus (B)will kill with (C)the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by (D)the appearance of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan (E)with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for (F)those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 Therefore (G)God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe (H)what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned (I)who did not believe the truth but (J)had pleasure in unrighteousness.

13 But (K)we ought always to give thanks to God for you, (L)brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you (M)as the firstfruits[a] (N)to be saved, (O)through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.

He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders(E) that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing.(F) They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.(G) 11 For this reason God sends them(H) a powerful delusion(I) so that they will believe the lie(J) 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.(K)
