12 All of them will be punished, because they would rather do evil than believe the truth.
Be Faithful
13 My friends, the Lord loves you, and it is only natural for us to thank God for you. God chose you to be the first ones to be saved.[a] His Spirit made you holy, and you put your faith in the truth. 14 God used our preaching as his way of inviting you to share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.(A)
Stand Firm
13 But we ought always to thank God for you,(B) brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits[a](C) to be saved(D) through the sanctifying work of the Spirit(E) and through belief in the truth. 14 He called you(F) to this through our gospel,(G) that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
