2 Thessalonians 2:11-13
New Testament for Everyone
11 For that reason God sends upon them a strong delusion, leading them to believe the lie, 12 so that judgment may come upon all who did not believe the truth but took pleasure in wickedness.
Exhortation to steadfastness
13 But we always owe God a debt of gratitude for you, my family beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the first fruits of his work of salvation, through sanctification by the spirit and belief of the truth.

New International Version
11 For this reason God sends them(A) a powerful delusion(B) so that they will believe the lie(C) 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.(D)
Stand Firm
13 But we ought always to thank God for you,(E) brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits[a](F) to be saved(G) through the sanctifying work of the Spirit(H) and through belief in the truth.
