19 În timp ce Iehoşafat, regele lui Iuda, se întorcea cu bine acasă, la Ierusalim, 2 i-a ieşit înainte Iehu, fiul văzătorului Hanani. Acesta i-a zis regelui Iehoşafat: „Tu ajuţi pe cel nelegiuit şi iubeşti pe[a] cel ce Îl urăşte pe Domnul? Din această cauză mânia Domnului este împotriva ta! 3 Totuşi au fost găsite şi lucruri bune în tine, căci ai distrus aşerele[b] din ţară şi te-ai hotărât în inima ta să-L cauţi pe Dumnezeu.“

19 Iosafat, împăratul lui Iuda, s-a întors în pace acasă, la Ierusalim. 2 Iehu, fiul prorocului(A) Hanani, i-a ieşit înainte şi a zis împăratului Iosafat: „Cum de ai ajutat tu pe cel rău şi ai iubit(B) pe cei ce urăsc pe Domnul? Din pricina aceasta este mâniat(C) Domnul pe tine. 3 Dar tot se mai găseşte şi ceva(D) bun în tine, căci ai înlăturat din ţară idolii şi ţi-ai pus(E) inima să caute pe Dumnezeu.”

19 When Jehoshaphat king of Judah returned safely to his palace in Jerusalem, 2 Jehu(A) the seer, the son of Hanani, went out to meet him and said to the king, “Should you help the wicked(B) and love[a] those who hate the Lord?(C) Because of this, the wrath(D) of the Lord is on you. 3 There is, however, some good(E) in you, for you have rid the land of the Asherah poles(F) and have set your heart on seeking God.(G)”
