^9 (A)persecuted, but not ^(B)abandoned; ^(C)struck down, but not destroyed; ^10 (D)always carrying around in the body the dying of Jesus, so that ^(E)the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. ¹¹ For we who live are constantly being handed over to death because of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our mortal flesh.

¹⁶ Therefore we ^(A)do not lose heart, but though our outer person is decaying, yet our ^(B)inner person is ^(C)being renewed day by day. ¹⁷ For our momentary, ^(D)light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, ¹⁸ while we ^(E)look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

²⁵ Three times I was ^(A)beaten with rods, once I was ^(B)stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent adrift at sea. ²⁶ I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my ^(C)countrymen, dangers from the ^(D)Gentiles, dangers in the ^(E)city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers at sea, dangers among ^(F)false brothers; ²⁷ I have been in ^(G)labor and hardship, through many sleepless nights, in ^(H)hunger and thirst, often ^(I)without food, in cold and ^[a](J)exposure.

³³ and I was let down in a basket ^(A)through a window ^[a]in the wall, and so escaped his hands.
