14 but by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may supply their lack, that their abundance also may supply your lack—that there may be equality. 15 As it is written, (A)“He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.”

14 At the present time your plenty will supply what they need,(A) so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality, 15 as it is written: “The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.”[a](B)
