5 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in (A)the two courts of the house of the Lord. 6 (B)And he burned his sons as an offering (C)in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and (D)used fortune-telling and omens and sorcery, and dealt with (E)mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger. 7 And (F)the carved image of the idol that he had made he set in the house of God, of which God said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, (G)I will put my name forever,

5 In both courts of the temple of the Lord,(A) he built altars to all the starry hosts. 6 He sacrificed his children(B) in the fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, practiced divination and witchcraft, sought omens, and consulted mediums(C) and spiritists.(D) He did much evil in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger.
7 He took the image he had made and put it in God’s temple,(E) of which God had said to David and to his son Solomon, “In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my Name forever.
