⁹ ‘^(A)If disaster comes upon us, the sword, or judgment, or plague, or famine, we will stand before this house and before You (for ^(B)Your name is in this house), and cry out to You in our distress, and You will hear and save us.’

¹⁰ And I will send the ^(A)sword, the famine, and the plague upon them until they are eliminated from the land which I gave to them and their forefathers.’”

¹⁶ Then they will ^(A)drink and loudly vomit and act insanely because of the sword that I am going to send among them.”

²⁷ “And you shall say to them, ‘This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says: “^(A)Drink, be drunk, vomit, fall down, and do not get up, because of the ^(B)sword which I am sending among you.”’

²⁹ For behold, I am ^(A)beginning to inflict disaster on this city which is ^(B)called by My name, so should you be completely free from punishment? You will not be free from punishment, for ^(C)I am summoning a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth,” declares the Lord of armies.’

¹⁷ this is what the Lord of armies says: ‘Behold, I am sending upon them the ^(A)sword, famine, and plague; and I will make them like ^(B)rotten figs that cannot be eaten due to rottenness.

^17 (A)I will send on you famine and vicious animals, and they will bereave you of children; ^(B)plague and bloodshed also will pass through you, and I will bring the sword on you. I, the Lord, have spoken.’”
