¹⁶ who only hath immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power eternal. Amen.

¹⁶ who hath been made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an ^[a]endless life:

1 That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we beheld, and our hands handled, concerning the ^[a]Word of life ² (and the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare unto you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us);

¹¹ And the witness is this, that God gave unto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

¹⁸ and the Living one; and I ^[a]was dead, and behold, I am alive ^[b]for evermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.
