³² (^(A)but he shall have one tribe, for the sake of My servant David and for the sake of Jerusalem, ^(B)the city which I have chosen from all the tribes of Israel),

⁴ And ^(A)he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, “^(B)In Jerusalem I will put My name.”

⁷ Then ^(A)he put the carved image of Asherah that he had made in the house of which the Lord had said to David and to his son Solomon, “^(B)In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen from all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever.

¹⁷ Again, proclaim, saying, ‘This is what the Lord of armies says: “My ^(A)cities will again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord will again ^(B)comfort Zion and again ^(C)choose Jerusalem.”’”

¹² And the Lord will ^[a](A)possess Judah as His portion in the holy land, and will again ^(B)choose Jerusalem.

² And the Lord said to Satan, “^(A)The Lord rebuke you, Satan! Indeed, the Lord who has ^(B)chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a ^(C)log snatched from the fire?”

²⁷ And the Lord said, “I will also remove Judah from My sight, ^(A)just as I have removed Israel. And ^(B)I will reject this city which I have chosen, Jerusalem, and the ^[a]temple of which I said, ‘My name shall be there!’”

⁶ but ^(A)I have chosen Jerusalem so that My name might be there, and I ^(B)have chosen David to be over My people Israel.’
