⁷ but if we ^(A)walk in the Light as ^(B)He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and ^(C)the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. ^8 (D)If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the ^(E)truth is not in us. ^9 (F)If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and ^(G)cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

⁷ But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the ^[a](A)Helper will not come to you; but if I go, ^(B)I will send Him to you. ⁸ And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment: ⁹ regarding sin, ^(C)because they do not believe in Me; ¹⁰ and regarding ^(D)righteousness, because ^(E)I am going to the Father and you no longer are going to see Me; ^11 (F)and regarding judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

¹² “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them at the present time. ¹³ But when He, ^(G)the Spirit of truth, comes, He will ^(H)guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. ¹⁴ He will ^(I)glorify Me, for He will take from Mine and will disclose it to you.
