These six were born to David in Hebron,(A) where he reigned seven years and six months.(B)

David reigned in Jerusalem thirty-three years, and these were the children born to him there:

Shammua,[a] Shobab, Nathan and Solomon. These four were by Bathsheba[b](C) daughter of Ammiel. There were also Ibhar, Elishua,[c] Eliphelet, Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, Elishama, Eliada and Eliphelet—nine in all. All these were the sons of David, besides his sons by his concubines. And Tamar(D) was their sister.(E)

10 Solomon’s son was Rehoboam,(F)

Abijah(G) his son,

Asa(H) his son,

Jehoshaphat(I) his son,

11 Jehoram[d](J) his son,

Ahaziah(K) his son,

Joash(L) his son,

12 Amaziah(M) his son,

Azariah(N) his son,

Jotham(O) his son,

13 Ahaz(P) his son,

Hezekiah(Q) his son,

Manasseh(R) his son,

14 Amon(S) his son,

Josiah(T) his son.

15 The sons of Josiah:

Johanan the firstborn,

Jehoiakim(U) the second son,

Zedekiah(V) the third,

Shallum(W) the fourth.

16 The successors of Jehoiakim:

Jehoiachin[e](X) his son,

and Zedekiah.(Y)

The Royal Line After the Exile

17 The descendants of Jehoiachin the captive:

Shealtiel(Z) his son, 18 Malkiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar,(AA) Jekamiah, Hoshama and Nedabiah.(AB)

19 The sons of Pedaiah:

Zerubbabel(AC) and Shimei.

The sons of Zerubbabel:

Meshullam and Hananiah.

Shelomith was their sister.
