⁹ “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and ^(A)serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing ^[a]mind; ^(B)for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. ^(C)If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

^17 (A)Today you have declared the Lord to be your God, and ^[a]that you will walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His ordinances, and listen to His voice.

¹⁰ Then Jesus *said to him, “Go away, Satan! For it is written: ‘^(A)You shall worship the Lord your God, and ^[a]serve Him only.’”
