¹² Saul was afraid^(A) of David, because the Lord^(B) was with^(C) David but had departed from^(D) Saul.

¹⁴ In everything he did he had great success,^(A) because the Lord was with^(B) him.

²⁸ When Saul realized that the Lord was with David and that his daughter Michal^(A) loved David,

¹⁰ And he became more and more powerful,^(A) because the Lord God Almighty^(B) was with him.^(C)

⁸ You know your father and his men; they are fighters, and as fierce as a wild bear robbed of her cubs.^(A) Besides, your father is an experienced fighter;^(B) he will not spend the night with the troops.

² He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi,^(A) we know^(B) that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs^(C) you are doing if God were not with him.”^(D)
