The Children of God

²⁸ And now, little children, abide in Him, that ^[a]when He appears, we may have ^(A)confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. ^29 (B)If you know that He is righteous, you know that ^(C)everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

The Command to Love

3 Behold ^(D)what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that ^(E)we should be called children of ^[b]God! Therefore the world does not know ^[c]us, ^(F)because it did not know Him.
