12 And (A)I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. 15 Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control.

12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man;[a] she must be quiet.(A) 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve.(B) 14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.(C) 15 But women[b] will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love(D) and holiness with propriety.
