12 So, whoever thinks he stands must be careful not to fall.(A) 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful,(B) and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape(C) so that you are able to bear it.

12 So, if you think you are standing firm,(A) be careful that you don’t fall! 13 No temptation[a] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful;(B) he will not let you be tempted[b] beyond what you can bear.(C) But when you are tempted,[c] he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
