9 And when they came to the threshing floor of (A)Chidon, Uzzah put out his hand to take hold of the ark, for the oxen stumbled. 10 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and he struck him down (B)because he put out his hand to the ark, and (C)he died there before God.

9 When they came to the threshing floor of Kidon, Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the ark, because the oxen stumbled. 10 The Lord’s anger(A) burned against Uzzah, and he struck him down(B) because he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God.
