¹³ May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless^(A) and holy in the presence of our God and Father^(B) when our Lord Jesus comes^(C) with all his holy ones.^(D)

⁷ For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.^{(A) 8} Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.^(B)

²³ May God himself, the God of peace,^(A) sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul^(B) and body be kept blameless^(C) at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.^(D)
