²³ Now ^(A)may the God of peace ^(B)Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your ^(C)spirit and soul and body be kept complete, ^(D)without blame at ^(E)the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁴ “^(A)You shall not commit adultery.

^4 (A)Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; ^(B)for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

²⁸ but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman ^(A)with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

⁶ ‘None of you shall approach any blood relative ^[a]of his to uncover nakedness; I am the Lord. ^7 (A)You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, that is, the nakedness of your mother. She is your mother; you are not to uncover her nakedness. ^8 (B)You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife; it is your father’s nakedness. ⁹ As for ^(C)the nakedness of your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether born in the household or born outside the household, you shall not uncover their nakedness. ¹⁰ The nakedness of your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter, their nakedness you shall not uncover; for ^[b]their nakedness is yours. ¹¹ The nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, born to your father, she is your sister; you shall not uncover her nakedness. ^12 (D)You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s sister; she is your father’s blood relative. ¹³ You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, for she is your mother’s blood relative. ^14 (E)You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother. You shall not approach his wife; she is your aunt. ^15 (F)You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife; you shall not uncover her nakedness. ^16 (G)You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife; it is your brother’s nakedness. ^17 (H)You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and of her daughter, nor shall you take her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they are blood relatives. It is an outrageous sin.

^11 (A)If there is a man who sleeps with his father’s wife, he has uncovered his father’s nakedness. Both of them must be put to death, they have brought their ^[a]own deaths upon themselves. ^12 (B)If there is a man who sleeps with his daughter-in-law, both of them must be put to death. They have committed ^[b]incest, and have brought their ^[c]own deaths upon themselves. ^13 (C)If there is a man who sleeps with a male as those who sleep with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they must be put to death. They have brought their ^[d]own deaths upon themselves. ^14 (D)If there is a man who ^[e]marries a woman and her mother, it is an outrageous sin; both he and they shall be burned with fire, so that there will be no such outrageous sin in your midst. ^15 (E)If there is a man who has sexual intercourse with an animal, he must be put to death; you shall also kill the animal. ¹⁶ If there is a woman who approaches any animal to ^[f]mate with it, you shall kill the woman and the animal; they must be put to death. They have brought their ^[g]own deaths upon themselves.

¹⁷ ‘^(F)If there is a man who takes his sister, his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter, so that he sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness, it is a disgrace; and they shall be cut off in the sight of the sons of their people. He has uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he bears his guilt. ^18 (G)If there is a man who sleeps with a menstruous woman and uncovers her nakedness, he has exposed her flow, and she has uncovered the flow of her blood; so both of them shall be cut off from among their people. ^19 (H)You shall also not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister or of your father’s sister, for such a one has uncovered his ^[h]blood relative; they will bear their guilt. ^20 (I)If there is a man who sleeps with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered his uncle’s nakedness; they will bear their sin. They will die childless. ^21 (J)If there is a man who takes his brother’s wife, it is ^[i]detestable; he has uncovered his brother’s nakedness. They will be childless.

Sexual Immorality Rebuked

5 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and sexual immorality of such a kind as does not exist even among the Gentiles, namely, that someone has ^(A)his father’s wife. ^2 [a]You ^(B)have become ^[b]arrogant and ^[c]have not ^(C)mourned instead, so that the one who had done this deed would be ^(D)removed from your midst.

³ For I, on my part, though ^(E)absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged him who has so committed this, as though I were present. ^4 (F)In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are assembled, and ^[d]I with you in spirit, ^(G)with the power of our Lord Jesus, ⁵ I have decided ^[e]to ^(H)turn such a person over to ^(I)Satan for the destruction of his ^[f]body, so that his spirit may be saved on ^(J)the day of the ^[g]Lord.

^6 (K)Your boasting is not good. ^(L)Do you not know that ^(M)a little ^[h]leaven leavens the whole lump of dough? ⁷ Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our ^(N)Passover also has been sacrificed. ⁸ Therefore let’s celebrate the feast, ^(O)not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

⁹ I wrote to you in my letter ^(P)not to associate with sexually immoral people; ¹⁰ I did not at all mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the greedy and swindlers, or with ^(Q)idolaters, for then you would have to leave the world. ¹¹ But ^[i]actually, I ^[j]wrote to you not to associate ^[k]with any so-called ^(R)brother if he is a sexually immoral person, or a greedy person, or ^(S)an idolater, or is verbally abusive, or habitually drunk, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a person. ¹² For what business of mine is it to judge ^(T)outsiders? ^(U)Do you not judge those who are within the church? ¹³ But those who are outside, God ^[l]judges. ^(V)Remove the evil person from among yourselves.

^22 (A)You shall not sleep with a male as ^[a]one sleeps with a female; it is an abomination.

^13 (A)If there is a man who sleeps with a male as those who sleep with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they must be put to death. They have brought their ^[a]own deaths upon themselves.
