⁹ He will guard the feet^(A) of his faithful servants,^(B)
    but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness.^(C)

“It is not by strength^(D) that one prevails;

²³ Then you will go on your way in safety,^(A)
    and your foot will not stumble.^(B)

²⁶ for the Lord will be at your side^(A)
    and will keep your foot^(B) from being snared.^(C)

³     I, the Lord, watch over it;
    I water^(A) it continually.
I guard^(B) it day and night
    so that no one may harm^(C) it.
