³⁵ But ^(A)I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who will do according to what is in My heart and My soul; and ^(B)I will build him an enduring house, and he will walk before ^(C)My anointed always.

¹¹ even ^(A)from the day that I appointed judges over My people Israel; and ^(B)I will give you rest from all your enemies. The Lord also declares to you that ^(C)the Lord will make a house for you.

²⁷ For You, Lord of armies, God of Israel, have ^[a]given a revelation to Your servant, saying, ‘^(A)I will build you a house’; therefore Your servant has found ^[b]courage to pray this prayer to You.

²⁴ Now then, as the Lord lives, who has established me and set me on the throne of David my father, and ^(A)has made me a house just as He ^[a]promised, Adonijah certainly shall be put to death today!”

³⁸ Then it shall be, that if you listen to all that I command you and walk in My ways, and do what is right in My sight by keeping My statutes and My commandments, as My servant David did, then ^(A)I will be with you and ^(B)build you an enduring house as I built for David, and I will give Israel to you.
