²⁴ Then Saul said to Samuel, “^(A)I have sinned, for ^(B)I have violated the ^[a]command of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and listened to their voice.

³⁰ Then Saul said, “I have sinned; ^(A)but please honor me now before the elders of my people and before all Israel, and go back with me, ^(B)so that I may worship the Lord your God.”

²¹ Then Saul said, “^(A)I have sinned. Return, my son David, for I will not harm you again since my life was precious in your sight this day. Behold, I have played the fool and have made a very great mistake.”
